The Riverside Promenade is located along the eastern edge of Riverside Park; one of the largest urban parks in Indianapolis’ historic system. Riverside Park is owned by the City of Indianapolis, and managed/maintained by the Indianapolis Parks and Recreation Department (Indy Parks).

Browning Day has composed a diverse team of professional consultants in the fields of engineering, cost estimating, surveying, and community branding, to assist with the project. In total, 65% of the project scope is being delivered by uniquely qualified, local Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) owned by minorities, women, veterans and individuals with disabilities.

Phyllis Hackett - Neighborhood Historian

Phyllis is a long-time Riverside resident, will be serving as a permanent member of the Project Team in the role of Neighborhood Historian. Phyllis will be co-leading a team focused on the development of a larger, cultural narrative to be embraced within the design and programming of the Promenade.


 

Riverside Promenade Steering Committee

The Riverside Promenade Steering Committee (RPSC) is a group of local “experts” from the greater Riverside community who will be working with the Browning Day Project Team throughout the planning and design process. The RPSC will serve as a sounding board for the project team, helping to ensure that the recommendations associated with the design and program of the Promenade reflect the important and unique attributes of the greater Riverside community.

The RPSC is composed of fifteen (15) members, including residents of the Riverside Neighborhood, who represent more than a dozen local groups, businesses, and organizations including:
